Preparation process
Start by preparing the onion marmalade. Peel the onions, cut them into slices, sprinkle them with sugar in a pan, sauté briefly, and pour over dark beer. Bring the beer to a boil, then reduce to a simmer until the liquid thickens and resembles marmalade.
Put alternative pieces of hot dogs and tomatoes on skewers. Grill the kebabs or sauté in a pan. Meanwhile, cut the buns lengthwise and quickly fry them with the cut side facing down.
Spread onion marmalade on each bun. Place a kebab on top and carefully remove the stick. Sprinkle grated Gouda cheese on top and serve.
